This post just makes me hungry! As a fussy eater these are my go-to meals. I love anything bread-based, italian and mild in taste.
1. Funghi Pizza
I love pizza - thick, thin, extra cheesy, tomatoey. Pizzas with mushrooms are my favourite though. The short time I was a vegetarian, I said I could live off mushrooms. They are a favourite in a fry-up. Suppose I've gone off topic. I love pizza though!
2. Macaroni Cheese
I would almost call myself an expert-macaroni taster! I love it. Although I've not had it for a while, I must say my favourite has been at a pub in Dundee.
3. Gammon & Egg
This is a pub favourite! I don't like peas though. I detest them. At home I usually get beans instead.
4. Beef Stew
I think it's just my Mum's recipe that I love (I believe). Bits of carrot, leak and the beef is yum!
5. Chicken Korma & Naan Bread
This is my all-time favourite curry. I love different naan breads - I had a lovely cheesy naan bread when I was visiting in Aberdeen, and the bread was pretty big too. Unusually I dislike rice though! I also like mild chicken dishes. I've enjoyed butter chicken too.
6. Dippy Egg
This has to be my childhood favourite meal, and to this day I still love it. It's the meal I want when I'm sick, sad or just feel a bit rubbish.
7. Chocolate
At one stage I used to have to have a little bit of chocolate everyday. Now I have two bags of giant buttons from Aldi every week. I love white chocolate and milk chocolate the best. I'm weird with my chocolate though; I hate chocolate and biscuits combined together. For example I don't like Kit Kats or Maltesters.
8. Chips and Cheese
I love these at the end of a night out. Sometimes I crave them at the start of a night out and sometimes I only go out so I can eat them at the end of a night. They are a yummy favourite.
9. Ham & Cheese Baguette
A lunch favourite! Ham and cheese are like peanut butter and jam - needed together. I love ham and cheese toasties, ham and cheese baguettes, ham and cheese together on a small plate...Yum!
10. Butternut Squash Soup
I've loved butternut squash since having pumpkin soup made for me. I used to only have tomato soup. It was incredible! Now I'm a convert. I love that. I also like carrot and corrinder, but butternut squash is my favourite. I might try pumpkin soup since it's the season!
I hope you like my list, and look forward to hearing what your favourite foods are! I'm always looking for healthier foods to fall in love with.
Hands up I adore mac and cheese - it has to be one of my favourite comfort foods yum! x
ReplyDeleteMe too! Love having homemade mac & cheese
DeleteI use to be such a cheese'ohloic. Anything with cheese was a go to meal x
ReplyDeleteI love cheese as you might be able to tell!
DeleteGreat choice for top 10, but how could you delegate chocolate to no.7? :) It should be all the way up together with freshly baked bread.
ReplyDeleteThere is no order to my list! I don't think I could order my list. I like them all pretty much on the same level
DeleteI love all the foods on your list as well, I found it so hard just choosing 10 :)
ReplyDeleteYeah my issue was trying to have a "grown-up" list that didn't involve all things chocolate, cake, or sweet-related! I have the worst sweet tooth!
DeleteI love mac n' cheese and butternut squash is so good. As for chocolate say yes haha!
ReplyDeleteI couldn't trust someone who disliked chocolate!
Deletehaha there are so many things on your list that I really don't like, cheese and chips, pizza, macaroni cheese! I do love chocolate though, and I don't like bacon or ham but I do like gammon. But, how can you not like peas, I love peas :) #blolgtober16
ReplyDeletePeas are too sweet for me. Guess you don't like cheese?
DeleteTotally agree with the cheesy chips. My ultimate meal would be BBQ ribs, onion rings, chunky chips and coleslaw x
ReplyDeleteChunky chips are the best - the crispier the better! Don't like onion rings though. Not a big fan of onions
DeleteOoooh cheesy chips! I'm hungry now. I love Chinese, steak, crisp sandwiches and cake haha xx
ReplyDeleteyum crisp sandwiches bring me back to childhood and love chinese too
DeleteOh my gosh I'm so hungry! I LOVE cheesy chips so much x

DeleteI was kind of hoping for some sweet treats on this list, come one Jodie!
ReplyDeleteI have to admit a pizza (whatever the topings) is always a must-have on my food list. xx
haha i was trying to keep it normal as possible. I have such a sweet tooth too
DeleteThat pizza sounds great. I love curry too, but i hate korma, it's tasteless. I love my hot curries, especially a vindaloo. I won't eat milder than a madras. I've even had phall once x
ReplyDeleteMaybe had the wrong kormas but then again I can't have things very spicy. Find even some herbs too spicy for me lol x
